A few words about the villa

The villa “Agios Nikolaos” (Greek translation of the word “Saint Nicolas “) is a luxurious beach villa, built of the traditional materials like rock and marble. It combines Cretan architecture with modern Greek, offering all the comforts that the trip‘s destination demands of Crete. It is located in a landscape of amazing beauty, one of the most beautiful on Crete, next to the sea and directly neighboring the unique wetland of Almyros (protected by the international treaty of Ramsar 1971). It has a unique view of the city of Agios Nikolaos and the sea. Its visitors can enjoy the river and the beach of Almyros, walking down the stone path of the garden that surrounds the villa. Access to the beach is direct, since the villa is built exactly on the beach. The villa “Agios Nikolaos” is a unique seaside holiday destination. It combines the peace and quietness of the countryside with the cosmopolitan atmosphere of the city of Agios Nikolaos. Its visitors can relax, have fun and enjoy their escape from the daily routine.

The prices of rental of the villa are determined according to the period requested as well as with the offers that are valid during the certain period.     Terms of payment

    • -- Payment of the total remaining cost of booking must be completed up to 30 days prior to arrival
    • -- If the entire amount of payment is not paid at the final deadline, the booking is cancelled

    Policy of booking cancellation

    • -- For all cancellations, the initial amount of 40% of the booking is not refundable. In addition, if booking is cancelled until 30 days prior to arrival then 40% of the entire booking cost is charged. If booking is cancelled until 15 days prior to arrival then 75% of the entire booking cost is charged. If booking is cancelled less than 15 days prior to arrival then the entire amount of booking cost is charged (100%).

Extra services have an additional charge after agreement with the visitor. For better service, please notify us at least a week earlier for the arrangement of extra services. Spa and massage services are available at the villa after agreement with the visitor.

Accomodation

The villa “Agios Nikolaos” may accommodate up to 8 people and it consists of the main house and one independent studio flat / apartment. The main house has two floors. On the ground floor there is a single space room that combines a living room, dining room and a kitchen. In front of the living room a veranda extends with a huge private swimming pool which has an immediate view of the beach and the city of Agios Nikolaos. The ground floor also has a full bathroom with a bathtub and one double bedroom with a balcony and a view of the mountain. Going up to the top floor of the villa, there are two bedrooms and one bathroom with a shower. The one bedroom has a single bed and a veranda with a view of the mountain, while the other room has a double bed with a veranda and a view of the swimming pool, the beach of Almyros and the city of Agios Nikolaos. All the bedrooms have television, air-conditioning and wardrobes. The living room with the dining room also have television and air-conditioning and the kitchen is fully equipped. In the storage room there is a washing machine. The villa has an independent single space studio flat/ apartment, which includes a bathroom with shower, fully equipped kitchen and living room with a veranda. This flat can hosts up to 3 persons. In front of the main house extends the swimming pool (with a direct view of the beach of Almyros and the city of Agios Nikolaos) with a shower, outdoor living room and chaise-lounges. The stone path of the villa starts from the swimming pool, and leads to the river and the beach. Around the villa there is a wonderful garden in harmony with the natural environment with beautiful flowers and trees. In addition there is a small outdoor barbeque and two parking spots.

Location

The villa “Agios Nikolaos” is located in the area of Almyros, a superb of the city of Agios Nikolaos. The villa is located a short distance from the city center and on the beach of Almyros. The area of Almyros was named after the river that flows into its beach and includes an important eco system in the delta which the river create. The beach of Almyros is the most popular beach of Agios Nikolaos with a “Blue Flag“ and is organized with water activities. The city of Agios Nikolaos offers its visitors many and different experiences. It combines the cosmopolitan atmosphere of a worldly resort and the peace and quie of an environment of special natural beauty. It provides cosmopolitan and remote beaches, shops, cafes, bars and restaurants with traditional local flavors or high quality international gastronomy. Due to its tourist infrastructure, it is a vacation place for all ages and satisfies all their wishes depending on their personality and interests. Its geographical position gives visitors the chance to visit other worldly resorts of the wider area like Elounda, Vai and other areas of special natural beauty.

By boat: The port of Agios Nikolaos is 1.5 km from the villa while alternatively the port of Heraklion is 69 km from Agios Nikolaos.

By airplane: The airport of Heraklion is 69 km from Agios Nikolaos. Alternatively the airport of Siteia is 74 km from Agios Nikolaos.
